I just came across the Baking Life FAQ section on the facebook application (which I didn't even know existed) and found some answers to questions I am SURE some of you have out there. It's the furthest bookmark on the menu bar at the top. They covered quite a few good points in the help section, but due to laziness and, well, just laziness, I am only going to repost the highlights and most important parts. They are as follooooows!:- The maximum Hype rating is 220.- After they are done baking, your baked goods will burn 1.2 times as fast as they took to bake.
A good loaf of bread can be the basis for a week of dishes, from soup and salad to sandwiches and bread pudding. At San Francisco's Tartine Bakery, Chad Robertson makes bread that's so good (and long-lasting) he transforms it into these 8 delicious recipes. Dried milk powder is added to the dough as it enhances the color of the crust, adds flavor, and helps to keep the bread moist. For the salt I like to use kosher salt.
For example, the Cinnamon Rolls bake in 5 minutes and will burn 6 minutes after that.and most importantly, this last point:- The music and sound effects were created by.YESSSS! I now know the name of the person I want to cry out in thanks to for the most epic orgasmic flute/oboe background music ever. You have my thanks and my respect Carmen.(and my heart). Well kids, I huffed and I puffed and I blew some stuff down and VOILA!I give you:THE BAK ING LIF E XP AND COI N CH ART!!! Hey Kids!So my latest addiction is the facebook game.As you can see from the above picture, in Baking Life, you are the proud owner of your own little bakery offering the most delicious of delicacies to a tough-to-please crowd.I know what you're thinking:'ZOMGWTF, that is SO Cafe World!!!!11@@2!!' And yes yes yes they are similar BUT. I would like to list some differences.Firstly, in Baking Life you cook only baked sweets.Secondly, the drawing style and animation is completely different from Cafe World.Thirdly, well.
Ah.ALRIGHT, okay, it's a hella lot like Cafe World. But I'm straight addicted to the sweet Jethro Tull flute background music. That jam could pull a guy back from the edge, I tell ya. At least, I think that's a flute. Some one please slap me if I'm wrong. So anywhos, Baking Life! Like Cafe World, you get more and better recipes as you level up.
I'm hoping to pioneer an epic spreadsheet including each recipe, the xp gained for each recipe, the profit for selling each baked good, and so on and so forth, to help out my fellow baker. I know you guys would do the same for me, right? Right?WELL, regardless, expect to hear more from me about Cafe World AHEM, Baking Life. At least until my ADD addiction cycle leads me to another internet time-wasting watering hole.Until next time, keep it real my badass bakers. Was an online game created by that invovled mini games, customization and colorful environments in which the player must build the best bakery in town.
It was a fun and very addictive game that could be enjoyed by players of all ages. Or so we thought, up until the beginning of this year.Bread n Butter has mysteriously vanished! Every single trace of the game has been removed off the face of the earth. It almost seems like some insane twilight zone and maybe the whole Bread n Butter experience was just a dream or a good acid trip. Outspark has withdrawn any sign that the game had ever previously existed.
Outspark blog entries, FAQ pages, and any sort of outside paraphernalia has been disposed of.I did some digging to find out just what was going on, or at least as much digging as I could do with so little information left about the game. I sent in a ticket to Outspark in hopes to have a little light shed on the situation or at least fill my personal curiosity, but no go. I got no reply back whatsoever. So I did a little forum scanning. The BnB (Bread n Butter) forums aren't easily locatable on the outspark website. I had to do a google search with the proper search tags to find the old forums.
And when I did, I was no further than I had been. Most of the forum topics had been closed aside from one person demanding answers about the whereabouts of BnB. They were given this response:'This game is no longer hosted by Outspark, and this section of the forums is no longer meant to be accessed or posted on.' I can only make assumptions about what happened to Bread n Butter. From all the missing information and deleting of paraphernalia, it can only be one thing: copyright issues. Someone, somewhere, must have had an idea very similar to Bread n Butter and said person must have had this idea earlier than Outspark, therefore claiming copyrights and ownership to the idea.
I can't see any other reason why Outspark would work so quickly and hard at making sure nothing of Bread n Butter remains. It is sad to think that Bread n Butter is gone, as I thoroughly enjoyed it myself. I've been tiding myself over by searching for other similar games. Might I suggest a few games from. Not all are in english, but I think that makes it a bit more fun, haha. Also there are a lot of free app games from Apple that can satisfy your cooking urges.Hopefully Bread n Butter is brought back to us one day. And when it is, I will be there, alerting the masses.
